Eligibility Criteria

Anyone with basic education and willingness to serve the community can become an SMN.

Minimum Requirements

  • 12th Pass (Any Stream)
  • Able to handle a smartphone or basic digital device
  • Good communication skills
  • Polite behaviour & willingness to assist patients
  • Basic understanding of health awareness (training will be provided)

Roles & Responsibilities of SMN

As the representative of Sankat Mochan Health Services, an SMN plays a crucial role in delivering healthcare services to the community.

Primary Responsibilities

  • To mobilise patient
  • Help patients connect with doctors via telemedicine platform
  • Register patients, upload reports, and maintain digital records
  • Act as a bridge between doctor and patient
  • Support in basic vitals collection (if trained)
  • Guide patients about medication schedule & follow-up visits
  • Assist in health awareness, cleanliness & disease-prevention campaigns

Field Responsibilities

  • Visit households and communities to spread healthcare awareness
  • Organize or support local Health Camps
  • Support elderly patients, pregnant women, and chronic disease cases
  • Promote preventive healthcare and telemedicine benefits
  • Report local health issues to the district team/doctors for timely action

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily patient log
  • Ensure proper documentation
  • Report to SMN cluster head/field coordinator
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient data
